How Gifts Are Used
The ATS Fund
This fund supports the seminary by providing much-needed unrestricted dollars the president can use to address the many expenses incurred annually. Upgrades to student housing, improvements to technology, meeting ever-changing commuter student needs – these are just a few of the areas your gifts to the ATS Fund will make a difference.
Ashland provides a high-quality, multi-faceted education to individuals who will pursue ministry in the church and the world. Beyond the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts and Doctor of Ministry degrees, Ashland offers additional non-degree programs including Pastors of Excellence , the Institute of Formational Counseling , Lifework Leadership and continuing education offerings that support a lifetime of learning.
The ATS Fund provides the underlying financial support to the seminary as a whole, thereby supporting every offering of the institution. Your support of the ATS Fund is your support of all that Ashland Theological Seminary offers, and the work that our graduates do when they continue on from the Ashland campuses in Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus and Ashland.
The Church
The Church has long been a source of support and encouragement for Ashland. Providing scholarship support to students, honoring pastoral leadership through endowed scholarships, and offering pastoral ministry students places to hone their skills and learn first-hand the joys and challenges of pastoral leadership, the Church has been a powerful partner to the seminary from the start.
Investment in the future leadership of the Church is a wise use of funds, providing an eternal return on investment. Ashland offers students a high-quality, multi-faceted education under the direction of professors from many denominational perspectives. This multi-denominational input provides a richer environment that enriches students’ educational experiences at ATS.
Churches have long-supported the work of ATS, particularly through annual and scholarship support. A substantial portion of scholarship support provided to students each year is the result of church-endowed scholarship funds. A named endowment that will support those training for church leadership long into the future is a powerful way to honor beloved church leaders.
