Programs at the Institute of Formational Counseling:

FORMATIONAL PRAYER SEMINAR - The Institute regularly holds training seminars in Formational Prayer for those men and women engaged in care-giving ministries. This seminar provides the tools for addressing dysfunctional behaviors; teaches steps for dealing with deep wounds; presents information on spirituality and world view as each relates to helping the broken; and demonstrates pathways that help people dismantle destructive false beliefs t. FORMATIONAL PRAYER SEMINAR ADVANCED - Building upon the Formational Prayer Seminar, the Institute offers a second level of Formational Prayer training which focuses on advanced skills. The event includes teaching, modeling, group experience and special workshops. This seminar is open only to those who have completed the Formational Prayer couse, Doctoral program in Formational Counseling or the four-day intensive seminar.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IN FORMATIONAL PRAYER - The Institute provides a Certificate Program in Formational Prayer to qualified persons. The Certificate standards are approved by a board of advisors respected for their work in the disciplines of Christian Counseling, Spiritual Formation, and Formational Prayer. Throughout the certificate process individuals are assigned an advisor, and progress toward receiving the certificate is monitored. (1) Standards, requirements and cost click here. Summer Intensive: A key component to the Certificate Program in Formational Prayer is the six day summer intensive. At this event, participants receive intensive instruction and practice in formational prayer from a variety of gifted leaders in the areas of pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, and formational prayer.

HEALING CARE GROUP LEADERS' TRAINING - The Institute trains caregivers who desire to lead groups using Dr. Terry Wardle's Healing Care Group Material. A Healing Care Group is a sixteen week small group experience designed to help people who are struggling with emotional brokeness. This material is reserved for those who have previously completed the Formational Prayer course or intensive seminar.

RESTORED: A PERSONAL JOURNEY LEADERS' TRAINING- The Institute provides instruction for caregivers who desire to lead groups using RESTORED: A Personal Journey. This is a 24 week small group experience designed specifically for men and women trapped in sexual addiction. The leaders' material is reserved for those who have previously completed the Formational Prayer course or intensive seminar.

RESOURCES AND PUBLICATIONS - The Institute provides resources that help Christian leaders minister Formational Prayer, and Spiritual Direction. These resources include materials developed by Dr. Terry Wardle.
