Exploring and Experiencing Christian Monasticism

The holy ideals of Christian monasticism have permeated the Church from its beginnings. Seeking holiness and conversion of life by praising God through a multitude of disciplines has been the vocation of all called to this form of imitating the life of Jesus. Guided by Rev. Tom Snyder, this offering will begin with an on-site visit to St. Andrew’s Benedictine Abbey, Cleveland, Ohio, include a meal with the community, and conclude with a 3-hour Saturday morning follow-up class on the Ashland campus. Students will explore the meaning of the monastic ideal and how we may appropriate its riches into our daily faith walk with our Lord.

The cost of the event includes dinner & travel between Ashland and Cleveland.
