Dr. Marcos Ghali prides himself in the fact that he is a graduate of the CMHC program of Ashland Theological Seminary. He brings to the seminary over 20 years of combined experience in both pastoral and professional clinical counseling. In 2016 he earned his doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University. Along with his passion for teaching, he also serves the community in various roles through his church and private practice.
Dr. Ghali’s teaching philosophy is centered around students’ needs and learning styles. He integrates multiple teaching methods in both face-to-face, and remote learning. In all of his classes he emphasizes the integration of faith and psychotherapy as an integral component of the students’ development of their vocation and professional identity. His global experience and multicultural worldview inform and enrich his teaching and offer a unique perspective to his students and clients.
Dr. Ghali has clinical experience with adults, adolescents, marriage, and family therapy. He enjoys exploring new technologies and gadgets, cultural festivals, and mostly, his “me time” watching his favorite shows on almost all available streaming services. He cherishes his time with his wife and two children and taking long walks in nature.
