Elizabeth Shold

Elizabeth Shold - LPCC-S

Director of Smetzer Counseling Center & Coordinator of Professional Practice

Elizabeth Shold  currently supervises several interns at Smetzer Counseling Center on campus and has been an adjunct in the counseling department since 2015. She has assisted in both the Group Dynamics course and Counseling Techniques as a lab leader and facilitates internship courses.  Elizabeth has been a licensed counselor since 2007, practicing in both private and partial hospitalization settings. She has been supervising other clinicians since 2012.  Elizabeth is a member of Orrville Christian Church in Orrville, where she volunteers in the Children’s Ministry and the Welcome Desk Center. She and her husband serve as small group and Sunday School leaders.

Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in Human Development and Family Science, with a focus on Family Studies.  Her Masters of Arts is from Ashland Theological Seminary in Clinical Pastoral Counseling.

She has a specific interest in the formation and supervision of other clinicians. Elizabeth enjoys mentoring other counselors and connecting them to needed resources.

Elizabeth and her husband, Andrew, have been married for 13 years and have three children, Logan, Natalie and Autumn. She enjoys gardening, swimming and traveling.
