This course is designed to equip students with the understanding and competency necessary to provide explicitly spiritual interventions to clients who have requested these interventions as a part of their treatment. Attention will be given to the place of the ethical use of spiritual
direction, pastoral care, and basic counseling skills. Special attention will be given to the ethical use of formational prayer as a clinical intervention. As such students will explore the qualifications and preparation necessary to implement these interventions.
