Dr. Onalee Pierce

Adjunct Instructor

Dr. Onalee Pierce is a Professional Fellow, teaching courses primarily in church history, but also theology, since 2006. She enjoys connecting students with the great figures and contexts of the historic church so that their wisdom and lessons can provide insight to today’s concerns. She is also passionate about sharing the myriad ways women have contributed to the life of the church throughout the centuries. In addition to serving ATS, Onalee has been a guest faculty for Cru’s Institute of Biblical Studies since 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the Ohio State University (2000), a Master of Arts degree in Church History from Ashland Theological Seminary (2002), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies (with a concentration in Historical Theology) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2006). She enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time outside and playing games with her husband, Brian, their son, Clay, and their dog, Lucy.
