Guiding Others in the Journey to Holiness
The Global Methodist Church (GMC) is dedicated to promoting spiritual transformation through deep engagement with all the means of grace and fulfilling the Great Commission through evangelism. In alignment with this mission, Ashland Theological Seminary offers a curriculum that fosters strong scriptural and theological foundations and encourages spiritual formation and faithful service. Our programs are designed to equip the Church’s leaders with the tools needed to guide personal spiritual journeys and empower community witness and outreach.
A Note from Dr. David deSilva
“I am glad to be ordained in a denomination that is committed to recovering two essential facets of our Wesleyan heritage – the pursuit of sanctification and the commitment to evangelism, all in the power of the Spirit. As director of GMC studies for Ashland, it is my privilege to walk with each of our denomination’s candidates for ministry through his or her program of study here and help to nurture a deep appreciation for the Wesleyan ethos, its scriptural and theological foundations, and its practical outworking in ministry and mission.”
